About me

Moving between Melbourne and the Northern Rivers of NSW, Claudia Messenger is a creative powerhouse spanning multiple disciplines. Between content production and strategy, fine art, high fashion editorials, graphic design and self published illustrative works, there are few hats in the world of art direction that this young designer hasn’t worn .

I am an independent artist and designer working in the realm between the advertising and creative industries. With my background in design as well as my current studies in advertising I’ve been able to use my fresh perspective to create exciting and engaging social content and brand assets for my clients.

In 2020 Claudia has worked with multiple national brands producing both graphic and photographic content, including Carlton United Brewery, Plantrunner, Ink Gin, Mercury Cider, Fashion Journal and Oyster Magazine, and is always looking forward to new and exciting opportunities.

Graphic Design

Since studying design at RMIT in 2018 Claudia has gone on to work in a freelance capacity for multiple clients, developing a distinct illustrative style derived from her background in fine art.

The most exciting moment in my graphic design career so far has been going to a shopping centre and seeing a diptych I’d illustrated for a local distillery covering the wall outside the bottle shop. It is certainly surreal to see lines you laboured over blown up to 10 times the size while you’re buying a cheeky wine.

Photography

It was only a month after acquiring her first digital camera in July of 2020 that Claudia saw her first full editorial published in an acclaimed indie magazine. Since then she has continued to develop her bold style and apply it to commercial and creative work alike.

One of my favourite aspects of photography is working with people who aren’t used to being in front of the camera and may not feel especially confident. I went through those same anxieties and insecurities when I first started modelling and it brings me so much joy to see a client look at their photos and see the beauty in themselves.
